Position: Physician Assistant / Administration / Kentucky / Locum Tenens / Physician Assistant - Certified
Location: Lancaster

We are looking for a midlevel Physician Assistant to work at our Rural Health clinic with at least 2 years of experience. NEW GRADUATES are also encouraged to apply.

The candidate should be duly licensed, certified to work in the state of Kentucky. The Mid-level practitioner will be independently responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and peer standards of care in - assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status.

Health care management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members at our facility and other providers involved in the patient care. Core functions include Clinical, and some administrative functions. They mainly include ?

  • Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient?s age-specific needs.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
  • Should carry or eligible to get DEA license to prescribe controlled medications (Exempt for PA applicants)
  • Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability,
  • Assists with other health care team members in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Facilitate the patient?s transition within and between health care settings
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  • Facilitate staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $ per year
