Work

Environment

You will work onsite at our rehabilitation center, which is designed to promote healing and recovery. Our facility is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies and tools that enhance therapeutic interventions. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, you will engage in regular interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment plans.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a consistent and structured work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions through assessments and diagnostics.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
  • See an average of 7 patients daily, providing hands‑on therapy that may include exercises, manual therapy, and other treatments.
  • Document patient progress meticulously using our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring all reports are accurate and up to date.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, expected outcomes, and the rehabilitation process, facilitating a clear understanding of care goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with medical professionals to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assist patients in navigating their rehabilitation journey by offering consistent support and addressing their inquiries promptly.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to manage patient workloads effectively while ensuring timely treatment delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Echo Rehabilitation Center, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, stroke patients, and those with chronic pain conditions. Our facility is committed to delivering tailored interventions that address the specific needs of each patient, promoting physical recovery while also enhancing emotional well‑being. You will play a critical role in helping each patient achieve their maximum potential through therapeutic exercise, education, and encouragement.

Qualifications
  • New York State Physical Therapist License (NYS PT License).
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, with preference for candidates holding an MSPT or DPT degree.
  • Two or more years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing environment.
