Work EnvironmentWorking onsite in our modern outpatient office, you will be part of a collaborative environment that includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our practice is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities designed to foster patient recovery in a welcoming atmosphere. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities and clinical needs to establish individualized treatment goals.
- Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a patient load of one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective care.
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans that utilize various modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management techniques, and wellness strategies to promote long-term health.
- Document all patient interactions and progress in a meticulous manner in our EMR software, specifically WebPT.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate optimal patient care.
- Provide ongoing motivation and support, encouraging patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey.
- Evaluate patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, many of whom are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will employ a patient-centered approach, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual. The diversity of our clientele ensures that you will encounter a myriad of cases, allowing for a dynamic and rewarding professional experience.
Qualifications- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York without any disciplinary actions.
- Strong foundational knowledge of physical therapy practices and principles.
- Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, demonstrating proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
- Ability to design and implement personalized exercise regimens that effectively address specific patient needs.
- Experience with EMR systems like WebPT to streamline clinical documentation and enhance patient care.
