Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) – Full Time
Location: Roseville, CA – South Placer Jail
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Compensation: $130,000–$160,000 annually
Classification: Exempt

The OpportunityCHP is seeking an experienced Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) to support healthcare operations at South Placer Jail in Roseville, CA.
Working alongside the Health Services Administrator (HSA), the AHSA helps oversee daily operations, staffing, reporting, compliance, accreditation readiness, and financial and administrative functions. This role is ideal for a strong healthcare leader who is comfortable managing people, working with data, and balancing multiple operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily healthcare operations, staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee coaching, performance management, and retention.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and other operational and quality reports.
- Collect and organize data from multiple systems and present findings using Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
- Support NCCHC/ACA compliance, accreditation readiness, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Assist with budget monitoring, payroll, timekeeping, expenditures, and contract compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff, facility administration, custody leadership, HR, compliance, and CHP leadership.
- Represent the HSA in meetings or operational matters when designated.
This is a full-time, on-site position within a secure correctional facility. Candidates must successfully complete all required security clearance, background, and training requirements. Flexibility may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field required;
Master's preferred. - Minimum 3 years of healthcare administration, operations, or related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong experience with staff management, operational reporting, and data tracking.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Correctional healthcare, behavioral health, long-term care, or multi-site healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- NCCHC/ACA, CQI, budgeting, payroll, workforce planning, or contract compliance experience preferred.
- Current RN license strongly preferred and may be required based on site needs.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
