Montefiore is recruiting seasoned Supply Chain leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings,take full advantage of System technology,and add valueforour Clinicians and Associates.

The Category Manager Medical Surgical position requires an experienced sourcing professional with a background inclinicalmaterials and services contracting with superior analytic and problem-solving skills supporting a fast-paced, transformation-oriented work environment.

Theideal candidatewillhaveexperience in contract spend areas suchas,but not limited to,medical-surgical products,respiratory,critical care,nursing and procedural supplies,pediatrics,and clinical capital purchasing acquisitions.

• This position will be the primary point of contact for allissuesrelated to medical surgical distribution,and distribution contracting at theGPO and local level.
• The Category Manager will work across all Supply Chainand Clinicaldepartmentsto ensure appropriate performance and value from Montefiore’s contracted medical surgical distribution partner and direct vendors.
• Thispositionis responsible forthe end-to-end processofsource-to-contract for aclinicalcategory(s) within a health care settingutilizingsourcing best practices.
• The Category Manager will develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with stakeholders thatachievcost, quality, and outcomes.
• The Category Manager  willbe responsible foridentifyinginitiatives,developing market/spend analysis, benchmarking comparisons, and competitive procurement documents (RFP/RFI).
• This position willleadsupplier negotiations, contract development/management, vendor management, and the identification/realization of savings opportunities.
• The ideal candidate is skilled at creating presentations and presenting/discussing complex Supply Chain initiatives to all levels of leadership.

• BS Science or Business Administration Degree Required - Master's Preferred.
• 4+ Years of Contract Management and/or Hospital Supply Chain Management Distribution experience within Medical Surgical, inpatient, or ambulatory settings Required.
• ERP,Contract Management Software,Inventory Systems.
• Healthcarespendcontract management.

• Accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research and analysis.
