Work EnvironmentThis position is based in our outpatient office located in the vibrant city of New York, New York. As an onsite therapist, you'll work directly with patients in a professional and welcoming environment that fosters collaboration and ongoing learning. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and tools designed to facilitate optimal patient care and engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries, identifying their unique needs and establishing individual treatment plans.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic methodologies, including therapeutic exercises, stretching techniques, and hands‑on manual therapy, to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
- Develop tailored treatment programs to help patients reach their specific therapeutic goals, ensuring they perform at their highest potential.
- Track patient progress meticulously and document treatment sessions, responses, and improvements within our integrated healthcare software.
- Regularly re‑evaluate and, when necessary, adjust treatment plans to reflect the progress and evolving needs of patients.
- Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices for activities of daily living, ensuring patients and their caregivers feel confident and informed.
- Conduct training sessions for patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and the use of assistive technologies.
- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, participation in professional societies, and contributions to educational programs.
This role involves treating a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Our outpatient office focuses on individualized patient care, and you will play a key role in helping each patient achieve their physical therapy goals, restoring function and improving quality of life.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current State License in Physical Therapy or eligibility to obtain a license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in modern therapeutic tools and technology relevant to outpatient care.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of our patient population.
- While prior work experience is not required, any practical knowledge or internships in outpatient settings will be viewed favorably.
- Experience with specific patient demographics, such as pediatrics or geriatrics, may enhance your candidacy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be advantageous.
