*** Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a PRN/Flexi Clinical Pharmacist Intern for the Inpatient Pharmacy in Norfolk, VA.***#

* The Clinical Pharmacist Intern is responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
* * Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
* Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards under the direction of a pharmacist.
* Serves as the primary resource for drug information within the hospital and assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist.
* Remote project work once fully trained onsite in IV room with sterile compounding.  
** Education
* ** Will consider pharmacy students with an active intern license or new graduated pharmacists eligible to obtain Virginia state Pharmacy Intern license.  
** Certification/Licensure
*** Must have Virginia or North Carolina (applicable to location) license within 90 days of Sentara start date.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.00 - $20.00 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
