We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) Supervisor to lead and support our team of recovery support professionals.
In this leadership role, the CRS Supervisor oversees daily peer support operations, providing direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to Certified Recovery Specialists. Serving as a role model for Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), this position ensures high-quality service delivery, promotes client retention, and supports individuals in achieving long-term recovery goals.
Job Responsibilities & RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Provide daily supervision, mentorship, performance feedback, and coaching to Certified Recovery Specialists.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new Recovery Support Services staff.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage and coordinate required ongoing trainings, certifications, and continuing education.
- Conduct performance evaluations and foster a collaborative, positive, and recovery-focused work culture.
- Recovery Support & Client Advocacy:
- Support individuals recovering from Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) through advocacy, peer mentorship, and recovery-oriented engagement.
- Assist clients in navigating Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and overcoming barriers to care (housing, transportation, employment, food assistance, healthcare).
- Intervene appropriately during crisis situations, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques and connecting individuals to needed emergency and community resources.
- Care Coordination & Compliance:
- Build and sustain relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral health facilities, and community stakeholders.
- Maintain precise, timely documentation of recovery support services, goals, and program outcomes in accordance with agency standards.
- Enforce strict compliance with HIPAA, state privacy laws, and Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) ethical codes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2+ years of direct experience in substance use disorder treatment, recovery support, or behavioral healthcare.
- Experience supporting individuals affected by SUD, OUD, or participating in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) strongly preferred.
- Core Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of recovery principles, harm reduction, relapse prevention, and Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong crisis intervention, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer software and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
