RN Congregational and Community Nurse Greensboro Urban Ministry

The Congregational Nurse supports the broader community by addressing disparities in health and wellness in a clinic environment. Working under general supervision, this role promotes health and wellness for the congregations and community through access to physical and spiritual care.

• Assists community members in finding a primary care provider in order to connect them with access to care.
• Supports the health and wellness of members through personal health counseling to develop care plans.
• Identifies health disparities, including transportation, housing, and food to remedy issues that are preventing members from improving personal wellness.
• Educates members on disease prevention and management, medications, and the health system in order to increase knowledge and awareness.
• Organize health screenings and fairs and flu clinics to support the reduction of illness in the community.
• Completes screenings and assessments such as blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring to identify potential health problems for treatment.
• Provides spiritual care through prayer and listening in order to support a holistic lifestyle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

• Required:
  
  5 years of clinical experience in a health care setting.

• Required:
  
  Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
