ProgramSummary:
The Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative (CPSAI) provides substance use assessments and referrals to treatment for clients referred by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP). Program staff are located in the local DCPP offices. The Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) provides support to individuals with substance use disorder who are involved with child protection services. They provide support and guidance, build rapport & recovery capital, maintain relationships, and ensure continuity of care.
Position Summary:Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing weekly supervision of substance abuse assessments and urine drug screens for CPSAI and PRSS staff located in the assigned DCPP offices. Responsibilities also include coordinating and overseeing the CADCs, ADC interns, Counselor Aides, and Peer Recovery Support Specialists, acting as a liaison with DCPP and local treatment providers, and filing of all necessary reports.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the appropriate diagnostic impression and level of care determined for each client and ensuring the outcomes of treatment recommendations are met according to the contracted time frames
- Provide weekly or biweekly supervision to multidisciplinary team including CADCs, ADC interns, Counselor Aides, and Peer Recovery Support Specialists in accordance with contract requirements and program guidelines.
- Provide monthly group supervision to staff members.
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements, contracts, and CPSAI/PRSS Policy and Procedure manual.
- Attend DCPP meetings (including but not limited to consortiums, multidisciplinary team meetings, and Frequently Encountered Families) as required by the contract and funding requirements.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
- Review, complete, maintain and monitor all required documentation in systems such as AWARDS, Docu Sign, and/or any other electronic technology system within established time frames in accordance with Federal, State, County, accreditation, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Attend individual and group supervisions and attend all required staff meetings.
- Deliver services in a culturally competent and linguistically appropriate manner, ensuring alignment with program and client needs.
- Uphold agency policies, complete all required documentation and participate in ongoing training.
- Complete performance reviews for supervises and monitor time and attendance.
- Provides weekly individual supervision to all CADCs and ADC interns.
- Provides biweekly individual supervision (minimum two per month) to all Peer Recovery Support Specialists and Counselor Aides. Individual sessions are a minimum of 45 minutes.
- Participation and assistance facilitating monthly group supervisions for all staff members.
- Possession of an active LCSW, LPC, LSW, or LAC in good standing is required.
- Possession of an active LCADC is preferred.
- Possession of CCS is preferred.
- Relevant Masters Degree required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Competency in the utilization of Electronic Health Records is required.
