# Activity Director Lewisville - Lewisville, TX 75077## Description The Activities Director develops and leads a comprehensive activity program that enhances residents' quality of life, independence, and engagement in an Assisted Living setting. The Activities Coordinator ensures all programs are designed with safety, supervision, and residents' capabilities in mind. The role supports residents with higher care needs while promoting dignity, purpose, and meaningful daily structure.##

Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Preferred: coursework or degree in recreation therapy, social services, gerontology, dementia care, or related field
* Experience working with seniors, dementia care, or assisted living SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Strong ability to engage and motivate residents with varying levels of function.
* Knowledge of dementia-friendly and adaptive activities.
* Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and caregiving teams
* Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
* Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, scheduling or electronic documentation software).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* * A*bility to lift up to 25 lbs and assist residents during activities if needed
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, push wheelchairs, and accompany residents safely.

WORK SCHEDULE
* Flexible schedule with availability for some evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events and resident needs.
