On-Call Banquet Server & Banquet Set-Up.

Banquet Server: $11.41 per hour.
Banquet Set-Up: $15.89–$17.00 per hour, based on experience.

On-Call | Flexible Hours Based on Events.

Looking for a flexible hospitality position where every shift is a little different?

The Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is looking for energetic, dependable team members to join our Banquets team as On-Call Banquet Servers and Banquet Set-Up Associates.

From corporate meetings and conferences to celebrations and special events, our Banquets team helps bring each event to life. Whether you’re setting a room before guests arrive, serving a meal, keeping beverages refreshed, or transforming the space for the next event, you’ll play an important role in creating a polished and memorable experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, on-call work in a fast-paced hotel environment. No previous banquet experience is required—we’re looking for people with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do:

Depending on the event and your assigned role, you'll help with both banquet service and event set-up.

Welcome guests with friendly, professional service.

Serve food and beverages during meetings, banquets, celebrations, and other events.

Follow event details and the Banquet Captain’s directions to ensure consistent service.

Refill beverages and anticipate guest needs throughout the event.

Clear plates, glassware, and service items efficiently between courses and after events.

Assist with side work, stocking, and preparation before and after functions.

Follow all food safety and responsible alcohol service requirements.

Set meeting and event spaces according to event specifications.

Arrange tables, chairs, linens, glassware, service ware, and other event equipment.

Help transform banquet rooms between events and prepare spaces for incoming groups.

Break down events and reset rooms for the next function.

Maintain clean, organized banquet and storage areas.

Help move tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Make sure event spaces are clean, polished, organized, and ready before guests arrive.

Is available for a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on scheduled events.

Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, hotel, or event experience is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Banquet events are active and hands-on. Associates must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.

Frequently lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds
