Key West Historic Inns is looking for an Overnight Manager (OEM) to lead our hotel operations during the overnight hours. Our collection of boutique hotels throughout Old Town offers a unique environment where no two nights are exactly the same.
As the senior leader on duty overnight, the Overnight Manager is responsible for keeping the operation running smoothly while supporting both our guests and team members. This role oversees Rooms and Food & Beverage operations, responds to guest needs, handles issues as they arise and ensures our properties are safe, secure and prepared for the next day.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, making sound decisions and being present in the operation. The right person knows when to step in, when to problem-solve and when something needs to be escalated. Most importantly, they understand that even overnight, the guest experience never stops.
ResponsibilitiesServe as the Manager on Duty and primary leadership presence during overnight hours.
Oversee overnight Rooms, Front Office and Food & Beverage operations.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the properties and remain available to assist guests and team members.
Respond to guest concerns, requests and service recovery opportunities in a timely and professional manner.
Make operational decisions as situations arise and escalates significant concerns to the appropriate leader when necessary.
Conduct property walks and monitor the safety, security and overall condition of the hotels.
Assist with Loss Prevention procedures and respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and safety concerns.
Ensure overnight incidents and significant guest or operational matters are properly documented and communicated to leadership.
Review occupancy, arrivals, departures, VIPs and other information that may impact overnight or morning operations.
Assist with cash handling, nightly financial controls, revenue reporting and reconciliation procedures.
Ensure Food & Beverage transactions, cash drops and nightly paperwork are completed accurately and according to established procedures.
Support compliance with applicable liquor laws, health and sanitation requirements and company policies.
Assist with payroll, wage reports, budgeting and team member schedules as needed.
Provide direction and support to overnight team members and assist on the floor when additional coverage is needed.
Coach, train and cross-train team members to strengthen performance and operational knowledge.
Work closely with other department leaders to ensure smooth communication and continuity between shifts.
Provide a clear overnight handoff to morning leadership, including guest concerns, incidents, maintenance issues and outstanding follow-up.
Perform other duties and provide operational support as needed.
Minimum of two years of hotel management or supervisory experience in Front Office, Rooms or a related operational area.
