Desktop Engineer

Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Seeking a knowledgeable technician with a high aptitude for customer service. Candidates must have minimum 1-2 years of experience in Desktop Support or a similar role. This includes installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment. The role may require assisting with security cameras, servers, and network switches. The position supports desktop coverage for approximately 275 devices and supports DOC staff within the Correctional Complex, with interaction with inmates as part of work details.

• Provide desktop support in a Windows environment, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices.
• Assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
• Support approximately 275 devices and DOC staff within the Correctional Complex.
• Interact with prison inmates as they are used for work detail, etc.

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Desktop Support or a similar role, with demonstrated ability in installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass a DOC background check and an extensive drug test prior to starting.
• DOC training can last up to 2-3 weeks; training teaches how to work, adapt, and conduct oneself in a prison atmosphere.
