At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager
, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.
- Provide day-to-day service support to Commercial Lines Account Managers and Producers
- Respond to client, carrier, and internal inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, and policy servicing
- Document client interactions, service requests, and account activity within agency management systems
- Coordinate renewal timelines and maintain renewal tracking tools and reports
Assist in marketing new and renewal business by preparing submission materials and tracking carrier quotes - Review policies, quotes, and underwriting information for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare proposal materials, coverage comparisons, and presentation documents for client meetings
- Monitor follow-up activities related to renewals, endorsements, service requests, and outstanding account items
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of commercial insurance, insurance operations, or related industry experience preferred
- Active Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
- Basic understanding of commercial Property & Casualty insurance coverages and underwriting principles
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
- Experience supporting commercial insurance account management teams
- Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance technology platforms
- Experience assisting with renewal marketing and carrier submission processes
- Knowledge of policy servicing activities including endorsements, certificates, and billing support
- Experience reviewing insurance policies, quotations, and coverage documentation
- Ability to prepare client‑facing presentations and proposal materials
- Experience working directly with insurance carriers and underwriting teams
- Commitment to professional development and continued industry education
- Hourly Range: $21.50–$26.50 hourly
