- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Serve as the front-line manager to provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives.
- Advance knowledge and skills by serving as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
- Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
- Lead daily activities to ensure tax office work is completed on time with quality standards, priorities, and goals.
- Train and coach associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions; lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information.
- Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
- Prepare tax returns, as required, and conduct timely performance reviews; partner with Associate Relations Center as needed.
- Experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs.
