Operations Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Job Overview
Professional level sales position supporting the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with GM to manage team members, leveraging expert automotive system and parts knowledge to source from multiple suppliers and direct drivers for timely delivery. Full‑time.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain commercial customer relationships
- Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
- Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
- Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs
- Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
- Maintain commercial stocking programs
- Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
- Maintain core bank and commercial returns
- Maintain commercial credit accounts
- Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage
- Friendly communication
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems
- ASE P2 certification or equivalent
- Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability
- Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
- Ability to multi‑task and remain organized
Job Skills
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English;
Spanish a plus - Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Solve problems using written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Understand commercial profitability concepts and customer prioritization
- Work nights, evenings, and weekends as needed
A minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability in fulfillment of customer transactions and experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals.
EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsASE certification preferred but not required.
Physical DemandsPredominantly walking or standing. Handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required.
Work EnvironmentWork inside; occasionally outside exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
CommissionPosition eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
