Airline Ramp Duty Manager, CVG – Trego‑Dugan Aviation Inc

Position overview:

The Ramp Duty Manager directs personnel within assigned functional areas of ramp services, oversees staffing, monitors discipline, ensures customer satisfaction, acts as liaison between leadership and upper management, and ensures compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

The work includes directing personnel within ramp services, overseeing staffing requirements, monitoring discipline/corrective action, ensuring customer satisfaction, acting as liaison, maintaining security programs, ensuring audit compliance, and administering fair practices.

Required Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Trego‑Dugan Employee Handbook, airline policy and procedures manuals, and other relevant documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Required Experience

Two to five years of previous management or specialist supervisory experience in ramp service duties. Independent judgment and decision making skills required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with personal computer software helpful. Airline ramp services experience. College degree or equivalent experience. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and participate in Ramp/Ground Service operations for both commercial and charter flights.
  • Direct and train assigned Ground Operations Agents, maintain training records.
  • Implement departmental policy and advise Lead Agents on policy issues.
  • Coordinate Ground Operation/Ramp Service activities with air carrier personnel, station managers, and TSA representatives.
  • Operate and maintain ground equipment such as aircraft loading bridges, baggage tugs, belt loaders, electric carts, lavatory carts, portable water carts, air starts, towbars, and portable stairs.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and TSA security regulations.
  • Maintain emergency checklists and supplies.
  • Prepare and submit verbal and written reports on ground service activities.
  • Handle billing, payment data, cash handling, and ordering supplies.
  • Be available to work various shifts, including swing, graveyard, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

Must be able to carry a 70‑pound suitcase from the floor to the front of the body with both hands for a distance; perform repetitive tasks, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, and sustain positions for extended periods. Must have sufficient vision to perform essential duties safely.
