Description
The Program Management Office (PMO) Lead is responsible for establishing, evolving, and leading the enterprise Program Management Office to ensure consistent delivery of strategic and business transformation initiatives across the organization. This enterprise-wide role provides strategic oversight for major company projects across VT’s divisions and functions—including operations and manufacturing, commercial, finance, people, facilities, ERP, infrastructure, applications, and process improvement—ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, VT governance standards, and continuous improvement practices.
The PMO Lead will develop and enforce project management methodologies, provide mentorship and leadership to project managers, and ensure transparency, prioritization, and accountability across the VT portfolio. The role partners with senior leaders across the business and IT, as well as external vendors, to drive successful program execution and deliver enterprise business value. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish and oversee the enterprise Project Portfolio Management process, including intake, prioritization, and capacity-constrained selection, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and available resources.
- Lead the planning, governance, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional programs across the business and technology—including process, operational, and systems implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Develop and implement standardized project management frameworks, templates, and reporting practices to ensure consistent delivery quality.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to Project Managers and other delivery leads.
- Chair enterprise governance, collaborating with the Steering Committee and business sponsors to prioritize projects, manage resources, make freeze/cancel recommendations, and communicate portfolio health.
- Oversee program risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serve as a key liaison among business units, plant and functional leaders, IT leadership, and external partners to facilitate enterprise program alignment and stakeholder engagement.
- Deliver executive-level reporting on program and project status, including ROI, benefits realization, risk exposure, and resource utilization; oversee project closure and follow-up reporting to those who approved the work.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, leveraging data and lessons learned to optimize project delivery and portfolio management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for enterprise programs, ensuring cost-effective delivery and adherence to financial targets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred;
Master’s degree is a plus. - 5+ years of progressive experience in project and program management, including 1+ years leading enterprise-scale, cross-functional programs.
