Phoenix Defense is currently seeking applicants for the Electronic Technician Maintenance II position supporting the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS) in Louisville, KY.
Position Responsibilities- The Electronics Technician Maintenance II position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment, including a variety of Training Devices.
- Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications, ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
- Perform inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines.
- Capture and record accurate maintenance history, ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into MIS.
- Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems.
- May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians’ work.
- Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance.
- This position may require travel to other installations and other W-TRS locations.
- 2 - 5 years’ experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting.
- Intermediate computer and networking skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Must have an Electronics Technician Certification.
- Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Bend, squat, climb, and reach.
- Requires the ability to climb up, down and beneath full-size training devices or military vehicles.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
- May be exposed to extreme weather conditions – duties may be performed in all types of terrain and weather.
