Job SummaryThe Quality Department verifies that our products meet or exceed safe food handling and quality standards. The QA Technician corrects issues, collaborates with Operations and other stakeholders, and escalates matters timely. In the technician’s absence, the QA Lead or Supervisor back‑fills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in problem‑solving events to determine root cause and establish preventive measures.
- Apply 100 % of all laboratory procedures and be cross‑functionally trained to cover all QC and QA checks or expectations.
- Serve as a trainer for all QA lab, line, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform sensory evaluation on samples and document results.
- Ensure effective collection and shipment of customer samples with appropriate documentation.
- Work independently at the batch station and escalate when necessary.
- Apply experience and tools at the frontline station to make necessary adjustments for all lines and product SKUs independently.
- Follow all lab methods and procedures accurately.
- Actively participate in the LME safety program.
- Complete all required food‑safety training per Alchemy protocol.
- Adhere to internal policies, GMP practices, attendance policy, and the Technical Services Manual.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exhibit strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- High School Diploma with 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a food‑manufacturing facility; coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related discipline is a plus.
- Follow directions and work independently with limited supervision.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain accurate, legible documentation.
