Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a 3-axis Haas milling machine to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Set up the milling machine, including loading and aligning work pieces, selecting and installing cutting tools, and setting machine parameters.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate machining of parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the milling machine to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance, and inspection results.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2
-5 years of experience operating a 3-axis Haas milling machine or similar CNC equipment. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts and ensure quality.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
- Stand, walk, and work in a noisy environment for extended periods.
- Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
