Job Summary
3rd Shift Production Manager at Verst Logistics
Location:
Hebron, KY
• Shift: 3rd Shift
Salary: $65,000 + 10% yearly bonus based on performance.

- Provide daily management and supervision of packaging staff to achieve operational objectives within established timelines and in accordance with quality, safety, inventory control, and customer satisfaction guidelines.
- Oversee development and implementation of work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.
- Recommend programs and procedures to improve overall packaging operations to the Plant Manager.
- Ensure operational consistency through training and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Plan future projects, overseeing ordering of raw materials and storage of materials.
- Maximize plant efficiency through teamwork and innovation.
- Coordinate with the Plant Manager to establish employee goals, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and apply disciplinary action.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.
- Manage, coordinate, and ensure guidelines are followed for the production and shipment of all sales samples.
- Implement continuous improvements in production and reinforce them with staff.
- Visit customer and supplier sites as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Schedule and participate in staff meetings.
- Coordinate the ordering process of all raw materials as required by customers.
- Address and manage re‑work items to ensure proper actions are taken and processes are followed.
- Prefer a bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience in supervisory roles with emphasis on leadership, motivation, communication and planning.
- Broad knowledge of production operations.
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and other software applications; accurate typing skills (≥25 wpm).
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professional, customer‑friendly attitude and efficient work style.
