Packaging Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, is seeking a Packaging Technician to join their team. As a Packaging Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging Technician
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Range: $27-$32/hr
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)
- Receive, inspect, and verify packaging and labeling materials against specifications and artwork requirements.
- Review and approve artwork and packaging materials for accuracy, including spelling, regulatory symbols, branding, and proper fit.
- Manage change processes for new artwork and packaging materials while minimizing scrap.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update Bills of Materials (BOM) for production.
- Coordinate with planners to phase in/out packaging materials and artwork.
- Operate packaging-related software and hardware systems to implement updates.
- Document all activities in compliance with cGMP practices.
- Support audits by ensuring proper documentation and traceability of materials.
- High attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in labeling and artwork.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with cGMP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with inventory/packaging systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
