This position serves as the primary site-level EHS resource and works closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The EHS Specialist plays a critical role in developing a proactive safety culture by identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, conducting training, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
· Develop, implement, maintain, and improve facility EHS programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
· Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, hazard analyses, and compliance audits.
· Lead incident investigations, near-miss reviews, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
· Deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, contractors, and visitors.
· Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 recordkeeping requirements.
· Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
· Coordinate contractor safety management activities.
· Support emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and emergency response activities.
· Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
· Track and report leading and lagging EHS performance indicators.
· Support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 management systems.
· Assist with Management of Change reviews and capital project safety evaluations.
· Support environmental compliance reporting and permit management.
· Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and employee engagement initiatives.  ## Audit Focus Areas (Not Limited To)
