* Job Description:

**** Primary Purpose of Role:
** The Manufacturing Engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.  Responsible for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Assist in the development of manufacturing systems with the focus on continuous improvement related to quality and throughput capability of production equipment.
* Apply knowledge of product design fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
* Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
* Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes.
* Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
* Occasional instruction, training, and assignment of work to a small group of employees.
* Coordinates activities to support manufacturing launch of new or revised programs.
* Analyze process elements for improved manufacturing capability.
* Analyze equipment deficiencies for manufacturing improvements.
* Provide technical support for specific plant operations.
* Physical presence in the workplace is an essential function
* Implements and actively supports the plant and corporate safety policies and initiatives
