** POSITION OVERVIEW
** To provide technical quality engineering support to the Customer Quality Engineering team, at the point of manufacturing, in the containment, analysis, and corrective actions related to zero-mile and warranty returns from our customers.
** WHAT YOU’LL DO
*** Investigate all manufacturing related customer returns using formal problem-solving tools, and documenting in CT+.
* Lead cross-functional teams through the problem-solving process, as necessary.
* Clarify customer expectations and communicate to the appropriate manufacturing team.
* Prioritize quality issues and projects to be executed by the manufacturing team.
* Provide pulse of customers to the manufacturing team using various communication channels.
* Identify and coordinate continuous improvement activities within the assigned manufacturing area.
* Assess risk and validate process changes within the manufacturing process.
* Drive product/process improvements as early as possible in the manufacturing process (value stream), to ensure greatest company benefit.
* Communicate continuous improvement opportunities to product development teams for new product launches based on lessons learned from field concerns.
* Other duties as assigned.

** WHAT TO BRING
*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
* Strong understanding of Gentex manufacturing processes and procedures.
* Ability to understand and communicate engineering concepts, as well as manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in problem solving tools, CT+, and BI.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
** WHAT WILL HELP
*** At least three years automotive experience preferred with one year in quality.
