We’re building Nova Music to give independent music teachers one place to run their studios. Nova brings scheduling, attendance, billing, family communication, lesson records, student portals, and practice into one connected experience.
We talk with our customers daily. Their feedback, along with how they use the product, shapes what we build.
Our goal is to reduce the administrative work teachers carry, make things clearer for families, and create a better experience for students between lessons.
The roleWe’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can connect what Nova builds with the music teachers who need it.
You’ll own positioning, launches, customer stories, lifecycle communication, and the programs that help teachers understand Nova and get value from it.
You’ll work closely with customers, product, and engineering, then turn those insights into clear messages and measurable campaigns.
You’ll help us learn which teachers Nova serves best, why they choose it, and how we can earn the attention and trust of more of them.
What you’ll do- Develop clear positioning and messaging for Nova, its plans, and major product capabilities.
- Plan and execute product launches across the website, email, content, and customer communication.
- Interview customers and turn their language, results, and concerns into stronger marketing.
- Improve acquisition and activation journeys from first visit through studio setup.
- Create lifecycle campaigns that help teachers discover and adopt valuable features.
- Partner with product on research, packaging, pricing, and launch measurement.
- Measure channel performance, conversion, feature adoption, and revenue impact.
- Build and use AI-assisted workflows for research, drafting, content development, campaign analysis, and iteration.
- More qualified music teachers discover Nova and create accounts.
- More new teachers understand the product and successfully set up their studios.
- Product launches lead to measurable awareness, adoption, and customer value.
- Nova converts more teachers into paying customers and grows recurring revenue.
- Teachers can clearly explain what Nova does and why it matters to them.
- Lifecycle communication increases adoption of useful but underused features.
- Nova develops repeatable acquisition channels and a clearer view of where to invest.
- You have 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or a closely related role for a software product.
- You’ve developed positioning, led launches, and measured their business impact.
- You’re a strong customer interviewer and a clear, concise writer.
- You understand acquisition, activation, retention, conversion, and lifecycle marketing.
- You’re comfortable using analytics to make decisions and evaluate results.
- You can work across product, engineering, design, and customer-facing teams.
- You’re resourceful and comfortable building the systems needed for an early-stage marketing function.
- You use AI as a core part of marketing work and know how to keep its output accurate, distinctive, and grounded in evidence.
Experience marketing to music teachers, educators, independent professionals, or small service businesses is strongly preferred.
