Russell Springs Christian Church is located near
beautiful Lake Cumberland and is home to a congregation that is full
of love and the desire to grow in ways to reach those who have not
established a relationship with Jesus or may be looking for a place to
mature in their faith. Our goal is to seek the lost, save the found,
and cultivate disciples.

We are in search of an enthusiastic, passionate candidate to fill the
position of Senior Minister. The Senior Minister is a full-time
position. Our Senior Minister represents our church in our community
and will help with establishing a vision and leading ways to promote
growth within our church.

Qualifications:

Meets scriptural qualifications of a shepherd as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7
Degree from Christian Bible College preferred
Able to lead and inspire spiritual growth in a multi-generational congregation
Collaborates well with elders, deacons, and ministry teams
Communicates with clarity and compassion, both from the pulpit and in
personal settings
Practices believer’s baptism by immersion
Approachable, relational, and genuinely cares for people
Able to build connections with both older members and younger families
Willing to live in or near the rural community to be present in the
life of the church and town

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Plan service for Sunday morning worship, Wednesday evening worship,
and special services as scheduled by the Board
2. Collaborate with worship team to lead a meaningful and blended
worship service
3. Visit sick, shut-in, and prospective members
4. Teach Sunday school, if needed
5. Coordinate Sunday School teachers and oversee ordering Sunday
School materials
6. Work 5 days per week for church related duties, including office
hours, visiting, involvement in the community, counseling, and other
duties as defined by the Board
7. Ensure worship remains Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and welcoming
to newcomers
8. Maintain online presence via blog and social media
