• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel in patient care units, participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments
• Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management
• Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities
• Ensure patient's needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance
• Leads and directs the work of others
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department

• Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, certification as a registered nurse (RN)
• Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Kentucky
• 5+ years of experience in the field - supervisory experience preferred
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Current BCLS and ACLS upon hire
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
