DescriptionThe Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Nurse Shift Program Supervisor. This position will supervise all nursing services and personnel of a specific unit.
Required to have an active, unrestricted and probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.
Skill and expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
- Supervises nursing services for an assigned unit
- Determines the level of nursing care to ensure resident care needs
- Documents employee evaluations, develops work assignments, monitors staffing levels and delegates responsibilities to other levels of nursing staff
- Supervises professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care
- Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, ORSKILLS:
Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION forEXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
