Place of Promise is a Christian non-profit organization that provides Christ-centered programming for men, women, and children to rebuild their broken lives: physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. We believe that no one is too broken, hurt, or sinful for Jesus to save and make new.
Place of Promise, which has been in operation for over 32 years, is expanding and is looking to hire a full- or part-time nurse. The core of our programming is the Adult Long-Term Residential program. Through our four residential homes and 3-level addiction recovery program, we provide a safe Christian living community that focuses on knowing God and growing in relationship with Him.
We combine this faith foundation with clinical support for medical and mental care as well as life skill instruction in repentance, confession, receiving forgiveness, setting healthy boundaries, 12-step recovery tools, relapse prevention, education, and job training. Through this, residents are prepared to lead new lives of hope and potential empowered by God and free from addictions.
While located in urban Lowell, people come from all around the world. Some have been incarcerated and some homeless; most in bondage to fears, grief, pain, addictive substances, behaviors, mental and physical illnesses. Everyone comes seeking new life and are willing to act like they trust us to show them the way.
The community of Place of Promise is made up of staff, residents, volunteers, and former residents and extends to donors.
