American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and KY or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• 1:5-7 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

• Active KY or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital experience required in Med/Surg Tele specialty
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and GI cases
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Two professional references required (one charge or higher, one supervisor), both completed within the past year
• Up to 7 days of RTO will be considered and must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted afterward
• Required to work either a major or minor shift on every holiday
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year of working within the health system before becoming eligible to return
