American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and a KY or compact RN license.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital experience required in Med/Surg Tele specialty
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience with respiratory care including tracheostomy and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience with neurological conditions including CVA, post-TPA care, and seizure disorders
• Experience with wound care and IV insulin protocols
• Flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions considered case-by-case
• Driver's license required with address matching permanent address
• Two professional references required, including one Charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year

• Provide care for patients with cardiac, neurological, renal, orthopedic, and post-surgical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted after offer
• Must work either a major or minor shift of every holiday
• Travelers who have worked one year in the system must take a minimum 6-month break before returning for another assignment
• Travel pairs are minimally accepted and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
