Veterinary Student Shadowing

Description

Pet Wow's Student Shadowing Experience is less formal than a Pet Wow Externship or Pet Wow's Summer Experience. But for that reason, it can often be arranged with less notice and can last anywhere from a single day to two weeks. It is an ideal opportunity for students who have a few days for a visit between semesters or around the holidays, to gain real-world insights into the daily life of a Pet Wow veterinarian.

• Must be actively enrolled in a pre‑veterinary program or graduate program ultimately in pursuit of a degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

  Experience:
  
  A Shadowing Experience can often be arranged around a student's schedule and with minimal notice. It can last for as little as a single day or for as long as two weeks.
• Meet the Pet Wow Team: A Shadowing Experience is a great way to get to know Pet Wow's veterinary team, managers, support staff, and others on a personal basis.
• Tour Facilities & Operations: A Shadowing Experience provides students an opportunity to survey Pet Wow facilities, equipment, treatment and product options.
• Gain Valuable Clinical Insights:
  Most importantly, the student will be assigned to "shadow" a Pet Wow doctor where they will have opportunity to observe daily clinical activities and ask questions of an experienced Pet Wow clinician.
