Ponemah Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Certified Veterinary Technician!
Role: Certified Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-Time
Salary: Flexible hourly rate based on experience
Schedule: 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays
Requirements: Strong communication and organizational skills, a good work ethic, and the physical ability to stand, kneel, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds

What Veterinary Technicians (CVT) Do
As a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an active role in patient care and the practice's daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting exam room appointments and patient care
- Performing laboratory‑related duties within your training and experience
- Preparing patients and the clinical area for surgery
- Assisting with dentistry
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Placing IV catheters and performing phlebotomy
- Educating clients with friendliness, clarity, and compassion
- Assisting with reception responsibilities as needed
- Maintaining clean, organized patient‑care and work areas
- Providing compassionate care to clients and patients
- Collaborating with the veterinary team to support thorough, high‑quality medicine
- Continuing to learn and develop your technical skills
