Position OverviewPet Well Clinic Lake Forest is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our team for one day per week.
This position is ideal for a veterinarian looking for a predictable, focused clinical schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Pet Well Clinic is a walk-in veterinary clinic providing accessible, high-quality care for dogs and cats. Our model allows veterinarians to focus on patient care and client relationships without many of the demands associated with traditional full-service hospitals.

As a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to canine and feline patients, including:
- Wellness and preventive care
- Vaccinations
- Physical examinations
- Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and minor conditions
- Management of chronic conditions
- Client education and communication
- Discussing findings, treatment options, costs, and follow-up plans with pet owners
- Maintaining complete and accurate medical records
- Recognizing cases that require referral to a full-service or specialty hospital
- Building lasting relationships with pets and their families
- Our walk‑in model provides variety throughout the day while allowing you to practice medicine within a clearly defined scope.

You can focus on examining patients, solving medical problems, providing preventive care, and helping pet owners make informed decisions for their pets.
Patients requiring surgery, hospitalization, emergency care, or services outside our scope are referred to appropriate veterinary hospitals or specialists.
QualificationsRequired:
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Current California veterinary license or eligibility for California licensure
- Sound clinical judgement
- Strong communication and client‑service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, walk‑in clinical environment
- Compassionate, professional, and team‑oriented approach to patient care
Preferred:
- Previous small‑animal general practice experience
- Experience in a walk‑in, urgent‑care, or outpatient veterinary setting
- Interest in developing long‑term relationships with patients, clients, and the local community
