Quality Assurance Analyst II

Location: Hanover, MD (On-Site) |
Status: Open

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst II to execute and design test strategies with moderate independence. This role analyzes requirements, identifies defects, and contributes to improving quality processes, working closely with development teams and mentoring junior QA staff as needed.

Essential Responsibilities (describe the day-to-day)
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the product lifecycle, from design to deployment, identifying and resolving defects early to prevent costly rework or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and technical specifications.
  • Improve product reliability, usability, performance, security, and compatibility, and provide feedback to development and design teams to enhance future releases.
  • Develop test plans, defining scope, resources, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Analyze and validate product requirements to ensure completeness and clarity.
  • Create detailed test cases and automated scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Run tests across platforms, environments, and devices to verify functionality, performance, and security.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects until resolution.
  • Perform regression and performance testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality and that systems perform well under load.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, product managers, and stakeholders to address issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct quality audits and reviews, monitoring processes and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Recommend process changes, automation, and quality enhancements to prevent future defects.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

General office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) or QA processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel and test tracking tools.
Security Clearance Required

TS/SCI with Polygraph

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years of Experience

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge, such as Java or Python.
  • Familiarity with APIs and database validation.

Compensation Details

$145,000 - $195,000

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
