Job Summary:
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct cutting-edge research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multiphysics modeling for biomedical and energy applications. A major focus of the position will be the development and integration of quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI) methods to accelerate and enhance fluid-flow-related multiphysics simulations. The successful candidate will play a leading role in developing innovative research concepts, computational methodologies, and high-fidelity numerical models under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).
Responsibilities will include performing rigorous computational and analytical research, developing and validating quantum- and AI-enabled modeling frameworks, analyzing research results, preparing peer-reviewed publications, and contributing to research proposals.
The postdoctoral researcher will also participate in ongoing interdisciplinary projects in multiphysics modeling, CFD, scientific machine learning, and quantum computing, and will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers across engineering, biomedical sciences, and computational science.
Job Duties:
- Conduct advanced research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multiphysics modeling for biomedical, energy, and related engineering applications.
- Develop and implement quantum computing and quantum algorithms for accelerating fluid-flow and multiphysics simulations.
- Integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, and physics-informed AI with conventional numerical and quantum computing approaches.
- Develop, validate, and analyze high-fidelity computational models and compare numerical predictions with theoretical or experimental data.
- Take a leading role in research publications, conference presentations, and development of new research concepts, and contribute to proposal preparation.
- Collaborate with the PI, graduate and undergraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and external collaborators on interdisciplinary research projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
A Ph.D. from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience:
- Experience in CFD and Multiphysics modeling.
- Experience in AI and high performance computing.
