Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager
Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Grasslands Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to provide hands-on, on-the-floor leadership within one of our two clubhouses. This is a working leadership role — someone who serves, bartends, and picks up side work alongside the team, while directing the floor, training staff, and making sure every member interaction reflects Grasslands' standards. Working closely with and reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Supervisor is the steady, visible presence on the floor during every shift: comfortable waiting a table one minute and coaching a server through a tough moment the next.
Leadership& Training
- Serve as a working supervisor on the floor during assigned shifts, leading by example alongside servers, bartenders, hosts, and service assistants.
- Direct and coordinate Front of House staff during service — assigning stations and side work, adjusting coverage in real time, and keeping service moving smoothly.
- Act as a hands-on trainer for new and current employees, reinforcing service standards, menu and beverage knowledge, POS procedures, and Club policies.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and correction when standards aren't met, and recognize employees who exemplify Grasslands' service culture.
- Help lead pre-shift meetings in the F&B Manager's absence, communicating covers, reservations, member preferences, and operational priorities to the team.
- Support the F&B Manager with scheduling input, shift coverage, and day-to-day staffing needs.
- Maintain a constant, visible presence in the dining room, bar, clubroom, terrace, and/or pool areas — this is a floor role, not an office role.
- Perform regular table touches to check in on members, gather feedback, and make sure service is meeting expectations.
- Build genuine relationships with members, learning names, preferences, and habits over time.
- Step in immediately to resolve member concerns, involving the F&B Manager for anything beyond the Supervisor's authority.
- Personally serve and bartend as needed to support the team during service, especially during peak periods, events, and tournaments.
- Open and close assigned outlets, including side work, setup, breakdown, and cleanliness standards.
- Execute and enforce sequence-of-service and bar service standards consistently across shifts.
- Monitor dining room and bar flow, adjusting seating, staffing, and pacing as needed.
- Support beverage service, including bartending, wine and cocktail service, and responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with inventory counts, product receiving, and basic cost-control practices as directed by the F&B Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety standards during every shift.
- Report equipment, maintenance, or safety issues to the F&B Manager promptly.
- 2+ years of food and beverage service experience, with prior lead, supervisory, or trainer experience required.
- Bartending experience required (or strong willingness and ability to be trained and certified).
- Private club, upscale restaurant, resort, or hotel experience preferred.
- Serv Safe and TABC certification and responsible alcohol-service certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and events/tournaments.
- Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods, and to lift/carry as needed for the role.
We're looking for someone who:
- Leads from the floor, not the office —…
