Cook

Responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring timely delivery of meals, and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen at the Lodge restaurant.

• Prepare and season a wide variety of foods
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
• Check food while cooking, stirring or turning as needed, and testing for quality
• Ensure great presentation of dishes by properly plating and garnishing
• Follow all food health and safety regulations and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes according to schedule
• Properly handle, store, and rotate all food items and ingredients at correct temperatures
• Follow recipes and portion control standards consistently
• Monitor stock levels, check the quality of ingredients, and communicate shortages or place orders as needed
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
• Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient service

• Serv Safe or equivalent certificate
• Proven experience as a cook (6 months to 2 years preferred)
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures, methods, and techniques
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
• Strong adherence to all sanitation and food safety procedures
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Attention to detail and good time management skills
• High school diploma or GED (culinary school diploma is a plus)

Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items. Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
