JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Director, the Snack Bar Assistant manages all operations relating to the successful operation of the Snack Bar.

Essential Job Functions &

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for procurement of food, liquor and other related snack bar items
Responsible for controlling costs through proper inventory control
Provide adequate staffing depending on seasonal activities of the golf course
Provide training for new and existing employees as needed
Ensure beverage cart is stocked and staffed depending on needs of the golf course
Ensure snack bar and surrounding area is neat, clean and in compliance with La Paz County Health Department standards
Prepare a snack bar budget and stay within the guidelines established for the current fiscal year
Learn the golf course pro shop’s functionality (tee sheets, tee time reservations, policies and procedures). May be asked to cover the reservation counter in emergency situations.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Driver License
Good driving record according to County Policy
Current La Paz County Health card (food handling card).
Lifting 20 lb. ice bags, 30 pack beer cartons, and 5-gallon water jugs

Required Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

Bartender or related experience regarding alcohol laws
Snack Bar or related experience
Supervisory experience
Ability to work early and late shifts, weekends and holidays
Ability to be deployed to remote areas of the County
Work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time
Periodically or routinely lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. and carry long distances up to 20 feet
Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time; walk over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces
Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time

Supplemental Information

Hourly Rate: $16.73
