Can you dice an onion like it owes you money? Do you get weirdly satisfied by a perfectly labeled, perfectly stocked walk-in? Athenian Grill on South Ashland needs an awesome Prep Cook to be the engine behind every plate we serve. The line can't cook what you haven't prepped, so you'll basically be the hero of the kitchen.
What you'll do:- Chop, slice, marinate, and portion fresh ingredients for our Mediterranean menu
- Prep sauces, dressings, and sides to recipe standards
- Label, date, and rotate product so everything stays fresh
- Keep your station and the walk-in clean, stocked, and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Help the line when the rush hits
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work
- Solid knife skills, or the drive to learn fast
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Prep or kitchen experience a plus
- Pay up to $22/hr for experienced prep cooks
