Athenian Grill is a family-owned Greek restaurant that is growing in Lexington, and our South Ashland location is hiring a friendly, dependable Cashier to be the first face our guests see.
What you’ll do- Greet guests warmly and take orders accurately, in person and for pickup
- Handle cash, card, and mobile payments and balance your drawer at the end of each shift
- Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations
- Keep the front counter, dining area, and drink station clean and stocked
- Work with the kitchen team to get orders out quickly and correctly
- Pitch in on other front-of-house tasks during busy periods
- Comfortable handling money and using a POS system (we’ll train you)
- Friendly, upbeat, and able to stay calm during a rush
- Reliable and on time
- Able to stand for long stretches and lift up to 25 lbs
- Available to work weekends; evening availability is a plus
- Prior cashier or restaurant experience is helpful but not required
- Pay: $15–$16/hr
- Flexible scheduling, with full-time or part-time options
