The RoleAs our Apparel Product Manger, you’ll be the person helping turn ideas into real products. That means working on everything from product concepts, fabrics, samples, vendors, pricing, margins, merchandising, launch calendars, and e-commerce execution.
We’re looking for someone who knows apparel, understands product, has great taste, and is excited to roll up their sleeves to help build something special.
You might come from kidswear, baby apparel, boutique fashion, swimwear, active wear, outdoor, lifestyle apparel, or a growing DTC brand. You may have been a Product Developer, Merchandising Manager, Apparel Buyer, Production Manager, Apparel Operations Manager, Brand Manager, Product Line Manager, E-commerce Merchandiser, Sourcing Manager, or Design/Production Coordinator.
The exact title matters less to us than the person.
We want someone who can help Shorties become the go-to kids and family lifestyle brand in golf.
What You'll Do- Help build and launch the Shorties Golf apparel collection
- Own product development from concept to sample to production
- Help create kids’ golf lifestyle pieces, coordinating adult wear, and future active wear collections
- Build seasonal product plans, SKU strategies, and launch calendars
- Work with vendors, manufacturers, decorators, and suppliers to bring products to life
- Help choose fabrics, fits, colors, trims, blanks, graphics, and decoration methods
- Review samples, give fit and quality feedback, and keep product timelines moving
- Track product costs, landed costs, retail pricing, margins, and inventory risk
- Help merchandise collections on Shopify in a way that feels clean, premium, and easy to shop
- Partner with our team on product storytelling, photoshoots, launches, and customer education
- Listen to customer feedback and help us improve sizing, fit, quality, and future product decisions
- Help create systems, processes, vendor lists, product calendars, and launch playbooks as we grow
- Be a genuine ambassador for the Shorties brand — fun, thoughtful, family-focused, and obsessed with making great products for kids and parents
- 4+ years of experience in apparel, fashion, kidswear, baby, boutique, swimwear, outdoor, active wear, lifestyle, or e-commerce retail
- Experience helping manage apparel products from idea to launch
- A strong understanding of samples, fit, vendors, sourcing, pricing, margins, and timelines
- Great taste — especially when it comes to kids, family, sport, and lifestyle apparel
- Someone who can balance quality, cost, speed, and brand feel
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to keep a lot of moving pieces on track
- Comfortable working with a small, fast-moving team where everyone wears real hats
- Experience with Shopify, e-commerce merchandising, product launches, buying, or inventory planning is a plus
- Clear communicator who can work well with founders, vendors, designers, marketers, and operations
- Someone who wants ownership — not just a task list
Are driven and self-motivated — you get things done without needing to be pushed
Like making friends out of the people you work with
Care about doing good work AND having fun while doing it
Bring ideas — ways to improve, innovate, or just make things better
Believe that every customer deserves to feel like family
Understand that kids’ apparel has to look good, feel good, wash well, fit well, and make parents’ lives easier
- Get excited about the idea of building a brand parents and kids both love
Family first. Full stop. Go make dinner. Take your kid to the dentist. Catch your son's baseball game. We mean it — we're parents ourselves, and we built Shorties around the idea that your family comes first.…
