** At Target, we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Tech Consultant can provide you with the skills and experience of:
*** Adapting communication style to build trusting relationships with guests and influence tech solutions
* Retail business fundamentals, including inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotion strategies
* Engaging with Tech and Entertainment products, including video game trends, , , health tech, tech accessories, books, music and pop culture assortment
** As a Tech Consultant, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
*** Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
* Greet:
* 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
* 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
* Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
* End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
* Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
* Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
* Be aware of top sellers and new product trends to help guests find the right technology solutions and accessories to complete their purchase.
* Be aware of new releases across Music, Books, and Video Games and ensure product is ready for the guest at open.
* Create an inviting shopping environment by ensuring product is in stock, signed correctly, and that the area is clean and available for guests to shop.
* Support changes to product assortment and keep Electronics inspiring to guests all year round by   maintaining a brand space following new sets.
* Be an advocate for Target owned brands and knowledgeable about their benefits (extended returns, price point, guarantees, etc.).
* Help the guest get the most out of their new tech purchase by sharing various accessory options.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of extended warranty (Allstate and Apple Care+) and buy now, pay later options (Affirm).
* Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
* Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
* Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
* All other duties based on business needs.

**** But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
*** 6+ months previous retail experience preferred, but not required
* Strong interest in electronics and entertainment products, particularly, health tech, video games, tech accessories, books and music.
* Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
* Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
* Effective communication skills
* Work both independently and with a team
