Business Developer

This role finds and signs merchants in the industries Pay Kings specializes in, many of which conventional processors turn away. You generate your own pipeline, and the job involves heavy travel to trade shows, industry events, and merchant meetings. It suits a self-starter who likes being in the room with business owners.

• Generate your own pipeline of merchants in Pay Kings' target industries
• Travel frequently to trade shows, industry conferences, and in-person merchant meetings
• Run the sales cycle from first conversation through application and approval
• Build relationships with business owners, industry associations, and referral sources in each vertical
• Work with underwriting and operations to place and board new merchants
• Track prospects, meetings, and deals in the CRM
• Share what you learn in the field about each vertical with the sales team

• B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in payments or fintech
• A record of generating your own leads and closing them
• Willingness to travel heavily, including overnight and weekend trade show travel
• Confidence meeting business owners in person and representing the company at events
• Self-directed, organized, and accountable to your own numbers

• Experience selling merchant accounts or payment processing
• Existing relationships in high-risk industries such as CBD, nutraceuticals, travel, or firearms
• Trade show and event selling experience
