Job SummaryThe Security Lead Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons, employees, and company assets. This individual will also provide strategic input and assist with planning the shift.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
- Delegate duties and assign responsibilities to staff.
- Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
- Answer incoming calls to the facility and direct calls or answer patron questions.
- Operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid driver’s license.
- Train other security officers in the performance of duties.
- In the absence of Security Management, schedule other security officers on their assigned shift.
- Control access to restricted areas.
- React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
- Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of the facility.
- Check for and report safety hazards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
- Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- 1–2 years of security officer experience is required.
