Industrial Electrician

Industrial Electrician Pay: $28 – $34/hour (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000

Bertke Electric Co. has been delivering top-notch electrical services to the Greater Cincinnati area since 1928. We’ve proudly contributed to many of the city’s landmark buildings, including the Hyatt Regency, Adams Landing, U.C. Geology and Physics Building, Riverbend Music Center, Kroger’s Headquarters, and numerous grocery and retail stores. We specialize in electrical service work—maintaining and repairing systems, conducting infrared/thermal imaging, arc flash studies, and providing safety training.

We are growing and looking for skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Ideal candidates will have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent training and bring strong field experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment in accordance with local and national codes
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems and machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Conduct system testing and inspections using specialized devices
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and protocols on job sites
• Stay current on NEC and other code updates; obtain permits as needed
• Work alongside contractors and engineers to ensure integrated electrical system planning
• Deliver high-quality customer service and communication while on-site
• Lead or mentor apprentices when applicable
• Keep detailed documentation of work performed, parts used, and changes made
• Participate in training programs and maintain industry knowledge

Qualifications:

• Completed apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Experience in industrial and commercial electrical work
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills and a professional attitude
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
