Precision Crane Operator & Material Handler

You'll operate an overhead crane to move heavy steel material safely and efficiently, helping us fulfill customer orders and maintain our high standards for service and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and immediately report any hazards or deficiencies
• Attend all mandatory training and safety meetings
• Maintain cleanliness and organize materials in assigned work areas
• Operate 3 to 5-ton bridge cranes
• Conduct daily equipment inspections for forklifts, cranes, and controls
• Load/unload trucks and stock materials using dual hoist bridge cranes or forklifts
• Report unusual equipment noises or malfunctions
• Assist with stock checks and inventory counts as directed
• Support training efforts for new employees when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in material handling or crane operation
• Skilled in crane capacity limits, rigging, and safe handling of large and irregular steel materials
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
• Able to calculate the weight of materials and accurately read tape measures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally
